Intrapersonal conflict can affect initiating relationships because if you keep all of your emotions to yourself and never express how you feel, your partner will take this as you being distant, and it will cause problems. Also, intrapersonal conflict can mean you have low self esteem and confidence which in turn makes it hard to build a friendship or relationship.

Intrapersonal conflict is a conflict that happens within an individual, it is a constant fight that a person has within himself. It involves thoughts, principles, believes, emotions that a person possesses. Hence it is a kind of Psychological conflict that a person has constantly within himself/herself.
