How do I solve?
Hereford College has space for 450 students in the freshman class. The college estimates that 60% of the students who are admitted will actually attend college. How many students should be admitted?
* I know you have to set it up like a proportion i just dont know how to solve.

Sagot :

450 studnets is the number that they want or can hold.
that is only 60 percent of people that they can actually accept because they believe that 40% aren't actually going to attend.
what you would do is divide 450 by 60 you get 7.5
multiply that by 4 and you get 30 add a zero because the numbers are all in the hundreds and you get 300 or the 40% that aren't going to attend the classes
so they will except the 100% or 750 students
