find the slope of 2x-9y=-36? please show steps thank you

Sagot :

[tex]2x-9y=-36\\ -9y=-2x-36\\ y=\dfrac{2}{9}x+4\\\\ \boxed{m=\dfrac{2}{9}} [/tex]
what I do first (easier for me) is to change it into slope-intercept form
2x-9y=-36
-9y=-2x-36                2x
---------------   =     y= ---- +4
        -9                       9
the slope is whatever is in front of x, in this case 2/9
