Find the area and perimeter of a triangle whose angles are all 60 degrees and base is 8m

Sagot :

The perimeter is 24m and the area is 64m

if the angles are all 60 degress, then the triangle must be an equilateral triangle which hse all 3 sides equal so if 1 sides is 8 in length then the other sides must be 8 in legnth also
permimiter=3 times 8=24m
area=1/2 times base times height
base=8
height=use pythagorean theorem
a^2+b^2=c^2
a=4
c=8
solve for b
4^2+b^2=8^2
16+b^2=64
subtract 16 from both sdies
b^2=48
squar root both sdies
b=4 times squareroot3=height

so 1/2 times base times height
1/2 times 8 times 4 times squareroot 3
16 times square root 3

area=4√3 meters
