Andrew Jackson attacked the Spanish Florida territories and force the Indians to go back to the south of the Florida Peninsula. On the second war, the United States troops capture Chief Osceola –the leader of the Seminoles- in October 1837, when they wanted a truce with the government. Finally, after the third war in May 1858, the United States declared the end of the conflict with the Seminoles.
