what was the purpose of the First Continental Congress?

Sagot :

Representatives from each colony, except Georgia, met in Philadelphia.
well the purpose of the congress was to discuss the various injustices that the british empire had committed upon the colonists; most recently it was the series of intolerable acts that were viewed as an abomination by many colonists. The congress tried to get britain to revoke the intolerable acts, but this was unsuccessful. Think of it as a precursor to the war, as the delegates urged the colonies to form their own militias in the event that war occurred. Hope this helped
