what happens to food and energy when it enters the cell?

Sagot :

The cell receives the food through a vacuole, this process is called endocytosis. The cell takes this and will break it down to the simplest form of energy at the mitochondrial matrix, and create 38 ATP from respiration.
There are several steps in this process:

1) First it goes to the mitochondria which breaks down food and releases energy.
2)The the Lysomes breaks down food, cell waste, and worn out cell parts
3)The Valcoule  which holds water waste products and food until the cell needs it
4)Then it goes into the Endoplasmic Reticulum (There are two types: Smooth and Rough) The smooth creates and stores large molecules like steroids. The rough is studded with Ribosomes, which produces protein and is used for cell development.
5) Finally, it goes to the apparatus, which are membrane covered sacks that pack up proteins for transport
