PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A prism has a surface area of 176 cm2.

What is the surface area of a scaled image with a scale factor of 1 half?

Sagot :

I would guess if it is scaled to a factor of 1/2 then
surface area=SA
SA=176 cm^2

SA=area of sides added together
to get the area of the sides you would do
area=legnth times width
if scaled to 1/2 then each dimention is times 1/2 so  legnth is 1/2 and width is 1/2 so
area=1/2 legnth times 1/2 width=1/4 area
scaled SA=SA times 1/4
176 times 1/4=44
SA=44 cm^2
