what two numbers multiply to 40 but add to -14

Sagot :

-10*-4=40, -10+-4=-14 to solve this all that I did was looked for 2 numbers that follow the rules of this equation, and remembering the rules of 2 negative numbers when multiplied I found -4 and -10 because a negative times a negative=a positive. Then when adding to negatives together it becomes even more of a negative number.
