why was the battle of Stalingrad a Turning point in WW2

Sagot :

I wouldn't call it the turning point. But it is definitely one turning point in the war. After Germany's failure to take Stalingrad, their Eastern front army was practically destroyed and they were forced to flee the Soviet Union.

The battle of Stalingrad was a  turning point on the eastern front against the Soviets. The battle of Stalingrad saw about 1 million Nazi troops captured and taken prisoner. The battle was a major Soviet victory which also would improve moral for the Soviet soldiers which by then moral was most likely low. The battle ended with a major Soviet win that most likely caused the failure of the war with the Soviet Union.
