the perimerer of another quilt had to be 34 feet because he only had that much binding. if he wanted to be 8 feet long, what would its area be

Sagot :

If you have 8 feet long, there are two 8 foot sides on the quilt.  Then, take 8+8 to find how much you've already used to get the other 2 sides. 8+8=16.

34-16=18.   Then take 18 divided by 2 to find the measure of one of the two remaining sides. 18/2=9

so, the length is 8 feet and the width is 9.

To find area, take length x width
8x9=72

The area of the quilt is 72 feet
