A cone has a radius of 1 foot and a height of 2 feet. How many cones of liquid would it take to fill a cylinder with a diameter of 2 feet and a height of 2 feet? Explain.

Sagot :

answer= 12 (feel free to correct me if i'm wrong fellas)

method= ok, so first we need the volume of the cone. using the formula  v=pir^2h (pi x radius^2 x height) we get 2.09.
now we need the volume of the cylinder, in which v=pir^2h (pi x radius^2 x height)
we get 25.12
dividing 25.12 by 2.09 we get 12.0191388, which we round to 12.
hope this helps
