during the first semester, the ratio of the number of students in art class to the number of students in gym class classes was 2:7. However, the art classes were really small and the gym classes were large, so the principal changed students classes for second semester. in second semester the ratio number of students in art class to the number of students in gym class was 5:4. if 75 students were in art class second semester how many were in art class and gym class first semester?

Sagot :

are we assuming there are the same number of students total in both classes for both semesters
1st semester  2 art: 7 gym
2nd semester 5 art: 4 gym      so  75 =5/9 75/5=15 for every  1 in the ratio is is = 15 students so 1st semester 30 art 105 gym   2nd semester 75 art 60 gym both have 135 total in both classes both semesters hope i helped -J

if you count 5 times 15. Your going to get 75. So multiply 4 times 15 and you will get your answer 60
