Mick is writing a research paper on Old Faithful. His thesis is that Old Faithful will increase in size because of global warming. He decides to consult several books at the library. The first book is called National Attractions of the U.S. and is about all different kinds of tourist attractions in the U.S. It was written by a world traveler from Texas and published in 2001. The second book is called The Future of Old Faithful and is about how Old Faithful has changed in the past and how it will change in the future. It was written by Lawrence Shuman, a leading environmentalist from Oregon who specializes in studying the geologic phenomena and published in 2000. Shuman agrees with Mick's thesis that Old Faithful will increase in size.

What is one way for Mick to decide which source is more credible?

National Attractions of the U.S. is more credible because it was published most recently.

The Future of Old Faithful is more credible because its author specializes in Michael's topic.
