Graph the following set of data using proper graphing techniques.
Step 1. Label horizontal (X) axis and vertical (Y) axis correctly.
Step 2. Plot pair of values from data table (X and Y). You may use the calculator function STAT, EDIT.
Step 3. Draw a light “line of best fit”. Do NOT connect dots! You may use the calculator function STAT, CALC.

a. What kind of curve did you obtain?
b. What is the relationship between the variables?
c. What do you expect the distance traveled to be after 45 s?
d. How much time is required for the object to travel 74 m?

Sagot :

You would get perhaps a very slight curve upward (assuming distance is plotted along the x axis and time up the y axis), as the distance increases by about 10 each time, and usually the time in seconds increases by 1, but occasionally the time increases by 2
Not sure about the relationship, I guess you could call it a positive correlation, if that's the kind the question is looking for
I'd expect the object to have travelled 334m after 45 seconds, assuming that there are no more jumps in the data, because 12*4 = 48, so 91*4 = 364, then because 10m = 1s, subtracting 3s to get down to 45s means subtracting 30m, so as to get 334m. Honestly though, for a better result, you would need to draw out the graph and calculate from there to get a better answer
74m, being between 70 and 80m, means the time needs to be between 10 and 11s
I'd expect it to be 10.4s, because as we said earlier 10m = 1s, so 4m would equal 0.4s
Hopefully that helps you, I know the answers aren't of the best quality (I know I'm not particularly happy with some of them), but that's the best I can do for you on short-notice :)
