Max and Jane need to push a heavy sled 5 miles. Together they can push the sled one mile for every hour of work, but alone neither one of them can move the sled. Every hour starting at 9 a.m., Max rolls a standard six-sided die. If he rolls anything other than a six, he goes to work pushing the sled. If Max rolls a four or more, Jane rolls the die. If Jane rolls the die and rolls a four or less, she goes to work pushing the sled. Otherwise, she just takes a break. If they follow this procedure continually until the job is done, what time do you expect they will finish the job?
