Factors that are important when determining where to situate a research study are what you have passion for. The dissertation process is very long and can be a continuous cycle of making edits and modifications to questions posed and desired results; if what you're researching is optional to you, it may be difficult to persevere through the difficult points of your research. Other areas of importance include the theory or framework of your study, the purpose, and the methods of your research. Each of these components creates the blueprint of your dissertation and helps guide the cohesion of your study ( Grant & Osanloo, 2014). The choice of the population of the study can influence sampling procedures in many ways. In qualitative research, the most efficient way to determine sampling size is to determine whether or not data saturation is achieved (Astroth & Chung, 2018). The ethical considerations I anticipate needing to address will have to do with students' mandated needs according to their IEP and the situation's sensitivity during online learning.
