Am I correct in assuming a dielectric increases dielectric strength when polarized because the internal electric field of positive and negative charges within atoms attracts itself and is attracted to the charges of the external plates? In other words, the reason the polarized atoms don't pull electrons from the charged plates is because the positive charges are also being attracted by it's own electrons? resulting in greater dielectric strength and insulating properties.
