Pick TEN days (avoid the obvious: July 4, 1776; August 6, 1945; April 14, 1865; April 30, 1789; etc.) that fundamentally changed the course of American history. Write a one-pager that explains the following:
For each day you choose complete the following tasks:
Explain what happened in detail
Explain why these dates are important in the broader context of U.S. History
What separates these dates from more obvious historical markers?
Annotated Gallery: at least 5-7 pictures that show the historical significance and impact of the event. Annotations must include the purpose for showing the image.
3 historical open-ended questions that you develop for each event and that illustrate the context of the event, causes and/or effects. Responses must also be included.
A minimum of 1 primary source about each event with analysis that includes: historical context, author’s purpose, point of view, and/or intended audience.
Annotated Bibliography: You must include reasons for how websites, articles, books, were used in your project.
Final product can be a slideshow, written paper, or a different format of your choice that presents your content.
