A 45 year old male was referred back to his primary care provider (PCP). He was just recently seen in the emergency room for extreme nausea and was instructed to see his regular doctor. He has been previously diagnosed with Diabetes and Angina and has been seeing a specialist for those conditions. His diabetes causes him many problems and he has difficulty maintaining his blood sugar levels. Today, his provider diagnosed him with gastro - esophageal reflux disease after considering his history and completing a brief physical exam. No tests were ordered today, but he was instructed to continue his regular medication, eat a bland diet and it was recommended that he take Zantac which he can get from his local drugstore
