NR (negative reinforcement): something bad is removed, which increases or encourages the occurrence of the behavior.
PP (positive punishment): something bad is added, which decreases or discourages the behavior in the future.
NP (negative punishment): something good is removed, which decreases or discourages the behavior in the future.
