According to the CIPD, these technologies are leading to major changes in two primary ways: 1.Job Displacement: Many routine and repetitive tasks are becoming automated, resulting in higher productivity but a net loss in certain job categories. This forces workers to either upskill into more complex, non-routine roles or to take up lower-wage service jobs. 2.Job Creation and Transformation: While some jobs are being eliminated, AI is also creating new job opportunities that demand emotional intelligence and technical skills. Estimates suggest that while 75 million jobs may be replaced by AI, it could also create up to 133 million new roles.
