Review M4 Resources for Discussion and Assignment: Incidents and Crisis Situations. Select a story from the media (include the URL link) or a text (including the source) where a child, adolescent, or family member has experienced a crisis. You will use this example for both your discussion and your written assignment.

After selecting the crisis, assume the role of a crisis worker helping to address the crisis. Provide a step-by-step process of crisis intervention you might use with an adult client, a child, or a family. Apply what you have learned in the course to date in addressing the individuals in the crisis situation. Answer the following key questions:

1. Describe the crisis and share the URL link to the media or article/text.
2. Identify who is in crisis.
3. How would you assess the situation and the individuals in crisis?
4. What theory or crisis model would you apply, and how would you apply it? Consider the grief and the expectations.

Use the readings to support your writing. To aid the discussion, use examples of situations where crisis intervention may be more appropriate than long-term counseling.
