biologia? as far as i remember from school the receptors are the parts of our body (such as skin, pores, nose, mouth, ears, eyes..) that give our system information about what's going on on the outside. For example if it is cold our body receptors will sense that and the biological response to cold will begin (hair lifting up, trembling of the muscles to produce heat etc).
