Sagot :
General Grant’s army came closest to defeat in the West as a
result of a surprise Confederate attack at the battle of Shiloh. This war was
fought on April 6th and 7th of the year 1862. The battle
between the two armies happened in the South western Tennessee. Albert Sidney Johnston and Pierre G.T. Beauregard
were the 2 generals of the Confederate army that led a surprising attack on the
armies under General Grant. Although Johnston got killed while attacking, but
Beauregard thought against further pressing of the enemy.
