Answer:

It was good that America intervened, it's the main factor that ended World War 1. It was internationally and domestically good because if Germany were to win, it could cause future problems for the USA and all of Europe.

The detrimental was the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, which imposed harsh treaties on Germany which led to World War 2. That war affected everyone around the world.

Answer:

America's intervention was beneficial in both ending the conflict and establishing peace.

Explanation:

while America had not entered the war when it began, they knew that the war would not be contained to Europe. they spent the first few years increasing the size and capabilities of their military. while they didn't make anywhere near as much initiative as Britain or France, they had more technology and power thanks to those years in preparation. America also helped end the conflict by joining the Allied powers to help strengthen the offence. while Britain and France fought on the Eastern Front. Russia had originally begun attacking the Central Powers of the Western front. Russia had pulled out of the war when Vladimir Lenin staged a revolt, overthrowing the Russian Czar and Establishing Russia as Communist state. after the revolution was a success. Lenin sighed an armistice agreement, ending Russia's engagement in the war. This left Britain and France fighting the entire might of Germany, Austria, the the entire Ottoman Empire. while it is possible that Britain and France could have defeated the Central powers without Americas intervention, It would have cost millions more lives.

In terms of Establishing Peace, America was the first to take initiative on that front. U.S President Woodrow Wilson established the League of Nations, a predicator to the modern United Nations. while the League did eventually fall apart, helping lead to the events of WW II, America was the only one who wanted to promote peace. France and Britain wanted to punish Germany by forcing them to pay twenty two billion dollars in war reparations. they also divided Germany and separated the German people. they also ignored they promises they made to Italy to give them land, and the debts to pay to japan. by ignoring Italy. Benito Mussolini rose to power, and allied with Hitler in Nazi Germany. japan had sent thousands of soldiers to fight in the war, but never received any reparations for their efforts. these actions had caused both Italy and japan to side with Germany in WWII, forming the Axis Powers. although Britain and Italy never intended to cause the deep hatred leading towards WWII, they never made any attempt to bring peace, while America did.
