PLS HELP JUST NEED PART B
Kari and Julie are practicing for basketball tryouts. Kari makes 3 less than twice as many baskets as Julie.

Part A Write an expression with two terms for the number of baskets that Kari makes. Explain how you found your expression.

Part B Write an expression with three terms for the number of baskets that Kari and Julie make in all. Explain how you found your expression.

Sagot :

A. k=2j-3
Explanation: less than means to subtract, and twice as many means to multiply, so if you multiply Julie’s baskets by two then subtract three you’ll get Kari’s baskets.

B. T=k+j
Explanation: the question required three terms be used, so total (T) is the third and final term. Adding their baskets together will get you the total another.

Although if I were to do the expression myself I would do, T=j+(2j-3) so I could easily solve it.
